With a Skandia locking pliers materials can be temporarily held firmly or clamped together, which is why it is also called a clamping pliers. The pliers have a serrated jaw with a round recess in the middle. When 'closed' the two jaws are parallel to each other, at a distance that can be adjusted with the screw on the back of the upper arm. The jaws of the locking pliers are closed with some force until it clicks into place. On the other arm is a small lever to relax and open the pliers again. Can be used for many activities, including car maintenance, sheet metal work, plumbing, bodywork and maintenance work. Manufactured with chrome vanadium jaws in a nickel-plated finish.
