    I used this bit for first time today to drill four holes in stainless steel. Was impressed with the speed and cutting ability, but the shank is very short. I can use it, but the shank is barely long enough for my Makita's chuck to hold on to. Given that it drills holes up to nearly 7/8 inches wide, I would prefer a more substantial grip a longer shank would provide. Not sure if I'll keep or return it at this point. Next stop: my drill press (the decider).
