- Rusted and rotten nuts are often difficult to release. With the nut splitter from HBM you can split up any rust in no time. The big advantage is that you split the nut without damaging the thread. The nut splitter set contains four nut splitters for nuts up to 36 mm. Made from hardened iron, the nut splitter is a real powerhouse. You slide the nut splitter around the nut and then tighten the splitter on either side of the nut, you then have two moons and the nut can be easily removed from the thread. The nut splitter does not work on hardened steel, such as internal engine parts. The package also includes an example bolt to show what nuts the nut splitter is suitable for.
