- Description
- A tapping stool is used when manually making internal threads with the aid of taps. It is intended for smaller sizes, up to roughly M12. It consists of a rotatable clamp in which the tap is placed. A tap has a square head, which is why a tap stool does not have three, but four clamping lips, unlike the drill chuck. A tap stool with ratchet can also be turned around in a smaller angle. A wringing iron can also be used to rotate taps.
