    I was attracted by the Marples name, but as you'd expect for the price these are Chinese made. Didn't like the steel caps, but many tradesman probably don't want to carry a seperate tradditional beech-wood mallet around so the steel cap makes sense for them to use with a hammer. Time will tell how good they are. Came with a free sharpening set when I purchased, so extra value.
