What do you mean Complete?

This tap machine is equipped with all options that make a tap machine suitable for doing series work.

The arm has a circular range with a diameter of 130 cm! The tapping arm is always balanced in this range thanks to the double 500 N gas springs.

The sturdy steel forearm rotates on a ball bearing and therefore moves very smoothly.

This ball bearing rests on a bushing which can move up and be fixed along the central axis, so that the machine is suitable for tapping operations of both high and low objects.

What also makes this machine very complete and stable is the cast steel work table with base cabinet. Apart from the fact that this table is of course provided with key slots, which makes it an ideal workbench on which you can clamp everything very easily and firmly (with for example this 58-piece clamping set: https://www.hbm-machines.com/products/tools) -and-accessories / clamping tools / hbm-58-part clamping set), because of its weight this table is also a "counterweight" for the properly designed tap arm.

Even when the tap arm is completely extended and is therefore used 130 cm outside the central axis of rotation, the machine remains very stable, partly due to the weight of the table top!

Tilting the table is not an option, and releasing a clamp on the table top is a concern that you no longer need with this tap arm.

The central shaft is fixed in the steel worktop with four M8 bolts, which not only guarantees robustness but also rigidity of the construction.

The central axis always remains perfectly vertical, so that turning and moving the arm feel the same in every direction.

Something that sometimes wants to be different with a table clamp.

The machine is supplied with a standard M22 head and furthermore with ten very beautifully finished, quickly exchangeable GT-24 tap heads, all of which are provided with an overload clutch (a so-called "overload clutch"). This overload clutch ensures that the mechanical and electrical drive of the machine is not damaged if there is a "jam". This overload clutch is also a solution for personal safety, because with a stuck tap the workpiece can suddenly be taken along, resulting in all possible injuries. Especially considering the torque that this machine can produce, having an overload clutch is not a luxury.

The 10 included tap heads with overload clutch are of the following sizes:

M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16, M18, M20, M24.

An M22 head (so an 11th head) is included, but is the only one that does not have an overload clutch.

All tap heads are easily interchangeable and can be "clicked into" in the drive shaft. The tap itself is also simply clicked into the tap head. In both cases, sliding the collar of the quick coupling is sufficient to immediately release everything again.

This tap machine is finally further completed with a handy base cabinet on castors with brake.

This base has three drawers and a lockable part with a cupboard door with key lock.

This makes moving the entire machine complete with all tap buttons and any other accessories such as cutting oil and clamping tools very easy.

Service

On the steel "forearm" there is an aluminum box at the end with the control electronics in it.

On this you can find two rotary knobs and two push buttons, with which a number of modes of the tapping machine can be set.

The following options can be selected on this control box:

Manual (Manual mode)

Automatic (Automatic mode)

The speed of turning the tap in (rotary knob)

The speed of turning the tap out (rotary knob)

The number of turns (revolutions) that you want to tap

(control means two push buttons + and -)

In addition to the engine, there is a solid, entirely made of aluminum, handle with two beautiful superimposed "anti-burglar" controls.

With these buttons you can operate the machine in two ways:

Manual mode:

In manual mode the top button is for turning in and the lower is for turning out the tap. In short, the button determines the direction of rotation.

Automatic mode:

In automatic mode, pressing the top button will start the cycle of automatically tapping the set number of turns.

After the machine has made the set number of revolutions, it will stop abruptly, and then reverse the same number of + 2 revolutions.

The fact that the machine turns back two revolutions more than in automatic mode is, of course, to ensure that the tap is released from the workpiece again.

During this automatic mode, the speed of turning in and out is therefore adjustable on the control panel of the control box.

The lower push button on the handle keeps the same function as in manual mode, namely turning the tap out.

Positioning:

The first thing you notice about this machine is the solid design of the motor, the planetary gearbox and the joints.

Everything is made of solid aluminum, and there is no saving on material.

All rotary axes can therefore be adjusted separately. This is in contrast to the various tapping arms on the market, which have a single ball joint, whereby all rotation axes are released at the same time.

The tap arm can therefore be adjusted in all conceivable positions and rotations. During tapping a set angle is of course guaranteed to be maintained, thanks to the rigid construction.
