This hole saw for ceramic tiles is intended to be driven by a drill with variable speed (gradual start). The hole saw consists of an adjustable arm on which a steel point with tungsten carbide describes a circle. (TCT = Tungsten Carbide Tip) The radius of the circle, and therefore of the hole to be sawn, can be adjusted by changing the length of the arm. Because sawing ceramic tiles is not always predictable, a (red) PE safety cage has been built around the hole saw. This cage is pressed onto the wall to be drilled by a spring during sawing. If small shards fall off the tiles during drilling, they will now be stopped by the safety cage. With this hole saw, large holes can now be made in existing tiled walls in a controlled manner for the passage of drain pipes.
