Important note for machining stainless steel: In principle, only iron-free and sulfur-free tools may be used for machining stainless steel. Also, after normal steel machining, tools may not be used for stainless steel. The tool still contains residual particles of normal steel. These residual particles attack any stainless steel alloy and cause corrosion on the machined stainless steel workpiece. Even sparks that occur during machining of normal steel can attack stainless steel alloys.
