  • Description

HBM professional torque wrenches: This series of torque wrenches is characterized by a very high level of finish and easy operation and reading. In mechanics, the (turning) moment (or torque) is the product (the multiplication) of the force and the distance (the arm) over which this force is exerted (force x arm). The unit of force is Newton - [N] and the unit of distance is meter - [m] and therefore the unit of moment is Newton (times) meter or Newton meter - [Nm] and this is also found on the scale of a torque wrench. The parts that are loaded in these HBM torque wrenches are made of durable chrome vanadium and hardened steel. The controls are made of anodized aluminum. The anodisation is largely carried out in HBM blue, so that the lasered vernier can be clearly read. For example, the average man over 45 years old will not have to put on his reading glasses to be able to see where he is setting the torque of the key. By pulling the black anodised collar of the handle back against a light spring pressure, the torque wrench is unlocked and can be adjusted to a new value by turning the handle with the vernier. The reading of the set moment is done by adding the value of the vernier to the reading of the scale on the stem. Where the edge of the blue aluminum handle crosses this scale, the tens are indicated on the scale. The vernier represents the units [Newton meter - Nm]. As soon as the torque wrench slips once - indicated by a perceptible click - you have reached the set torque and you should stop tightening the wrench. All HBM torque wrenches are professionally packaged in a beautiful, resealable, blow-molded plastic storage box. The largest size comes in an impressive suitcase that the Mafia would use for other types of heavy artillery. The smallest size is very suitable for fine work in model and machine construction. The HBM professional torque wrenches are available in the following moment ranges, in which the size of the wrench (the arm) is of course adjusted: Article no. 9857: From 5 to 25 Nm. Article no.9858: From 20 to 120 Nm. Item No. 9859: From 40 to 220 Nm.
Item No. 9860: From 60 to 330 Nm. Article no.9864: From 100 to 600 Nm.
